The Satmap Solar Power Bundle includes a 2200mAh rechargeable powermonkey-eXplorer Portable Charger and a Solar Panel. Suitable for use with the Active 10 GPS, and other 5 Volt portable electronic devices this light, tough and water-resistant product will provide essential power even in remote locations. The Solar Panel can be charged anywhere with direct sunlight - even in winter!The Portable Charger can be charged before setting off, or on the go: via the Solar Panel (takes 18 hours to charge), via the Wall Charger with Multi-country Adaptors (takes 7 hours) or via the USB cable and a laptop (takes 5 hours). The Active 10 will then take approximately 4 hours to charge from the fully charged Portable Charger, and can be charged on the go or beforehand. This gives approximately 8 hours normal use (with a 2700mAh Rechargeable LiPol Battery) which can increase to over 80 hours use in advanced power saving modes. Please note: The Active 10 will not run or charge whilst the Portable Charger is being charged. The Portable Charger needs to be charged beforehand, and then used to run or charge the Active 10. The Portable Charger comes 60% pre-charged.The Solar Power Bundle includes a Tip Pack and Satmap Tip Converter which can be used to charge other electronic devices, such as iPods, cell phones, digital cameras, MP3s and PDAs. It also comes with a Storage Case, Travel Pouch and Velcro Strap to attach the Solar Panel to a rucksack. Total weight: 553g (1.22lbs).The Portable Charger is available for separate purchase as a spare source of power for use with the Active 10. Please note: The Portable Charger is water-resistant, meaning that it can withstand splashes of water and not become damaged if it begins raining while it's outside charging. However, it should never be left outside in the rain for extended periods of time.
